Eric Beier, MD, MBA

President & Founder

A physician by trade, Beier practiced emergency medicine for several years before discovering his passion for handling the business side of medicine. He supplemented his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine with an MBA from the University of Michigan, eventually adding coding certification which he maintained for over 10 years. In January 2005, he founded MedOptima, a business that enables him to use his medical background and business know-how to help physician practices generate new revenue and maximize profitability.

Melissa Doepke

Vice President of Client Services

A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Management, Melissa has worked in the healthcare industry for more than 20 years, accruing experience in human resources, policy development and oversight, physician credentialing, compliance, billing, and information technology (system conversions). At MedOptima, Melissa works with physicians in all aspects of practice management and is adept at helping clients develop more effective business strategies.

Amy Eavey

Director of Software Applications

Amy has been a member of the MedOptima team since the company was founded in 2005. She has more than 20 years experience in medical billing. Amy has performed the complete spectrum of billing roles while working her way up into management. Amy is an expert in the Allscripts Professional PM practice management software platform. She is responsible for staff training and MedOptima client implementations of Allscripts software.
